Bluetooth are trendsetters. Many would say the trendsetters in wireless development and technologies already have a whole range of products in the marketplace, with many more planned for the future. Then it will be impossible to live in the civilized world and not know the name Bluetooth and the quality they stand for.

Already part of the extensive Bluetooth range of products is the Bluetooth car stereo, or as it is often referred to for trade purposes, the Bluetooth car kit. The Bluetooth car stereo is unlike any car stereo you’ll have ever come across before and really its basic functions are more geared toward improved communication than the more traditional in-car entertainment capsules. For the moment that is.

Bluetooth’s initial breakthroughs were in the realms of improving cell phone accessibility and ease of use and it is this that lies at the heart of their car stereos.

Their car stereo add-ons at the moment consist of a kit that complements the car head unit. It enables you to take a phone call safely and hands-free as you drive. How this is achieved is both simple and highly innovative, two guarantees of any Bluetooth product or device you buy or use. The kit comes in the form of a pin which you plug in to connect your car stereo and cell phone and when a call comes in it automatically alerts you to its presence by instantly cutting out the stereo and allowing you to answer the call through your car stereo, allowing you safe hands free communication as you drive.

And furthermore these Bluetooth car stereo adapters are relatively cheap; you should be able to pick one up for under US$150, plus installation, or thereabouts.

This is a piece of kit anyone would desire and certainly all top of the range cars can be easily adapted to receive this technology and indeed some such models are starting to roll off the production line already able to receive it. And don’t worry if for the moment your motor is unable to be adapted, the constant development of Bluetooth car stereo products ensures that it won’t be too long until all cars will be fully compatible.

And these are only the beginning innovations of Bluetooth enhanced communications as prototypes for a complete sat-nav communication system using your car’s rear-view mirrors is already on the drawing board and is expected to be in production within the next few years.
