Of course this means that you now have a whole field of choices to make and that can be tricky. Detachable faces are common with this type of car audio CD player which can give you an added level of security when it comes to the amount of money that you spend on the system.

The other type is the multi-disc car audio CD player. With this type you can load a number of discs into the unit and then shuffle between them without having to take the discs out. This type of car audio CD player has become quite popular especially with those who are very fond of a mixture of many types or artists of music. For this type you generally buy the unit separately from the main unit and it hooks in and then resides at a location somewhere away from the dash. The most common place to mount this type is in the trunk. This is done to add security as it is harder to get into the trunk and also to save space as these CD player types can be quite large depending on the amount of discs that it can hold.
