Car Audio Wiring

As a car owner sets out in search of the various components in a car audio system, that individual quickly discovers that there exist different types of speakers, different types of amplifiers, and different types of audio security systems. Eventually that individual selects a particular brand from the variety of brands available for each audio system component, and then the time has come to commence the process of wiring together those components. At that point the car owner needs to become familiar with the basic facts about car audio wiring.

At that point the car owner might be surprised to discover that all wires are not the same. All types of wiring do not work equally well within a car audio system. For long-lasting car audio wiring, the car owner must seek a particular type of wire.

First of all the car owner must consider carefully the demands on the wires that carry the current in a car audio system. Are those wires going to be passed around sharp corners? No doubt the answer to that question is “yes.” Usually the wiring together of the car audio system components requires passage of the car audio wiring through tight and angled spaces. Such wires should have hundreds or thousands of strands. The multiple strands limit wire breakage.
